No compromising in design

The new universal modular jacks from FMT are extending the selection of modular connecting systems by a type with “direct” design compatibility. Meaning, up to two FMT universal modular jacks can be completed with customary TAE wall plates. This allows the integration into any switch design. The mounting adapter of the universal modular jacks ensures the usual insertion direction of the plug with an insertion angle of 30°. In case three modular jacks are supposed to be put into one mounting box, this can be realized by using special mounting adapters and center plates. Universal modular jacks from FMT fit the worldwide customary mounting openings of 19.3 x 14.7 mm. Additionally, separate types for the mounting openings of the products from other manufacturers are available.

Quick and easy connection

For mounting no expensive and complicated special tools are necessary. The cable only needs to be dismantled and prepared, accordingly. For the following steps a cutting tool is completely sufficient. The mounting wedge of the FMT universal modular jacks helps in case of friction-locked contacting and it allows an assembly without any additional installation effort.

Safe installation and great link performance

The bend-radius optimized cable feeding of the universal modular jack prevents the data cable from touching the backsides of the mounting box too early. Thus, it avoids falling below the permissible values of the knik or bend radius. This is of high significance for safe link testing up to class EA.

Ready for next-generation applications

Already today, the FMT universal modular jack is designed for applications of tomorrow. The requirements known at this time for 10-Gbitnetworks are completely fulfilled as well as those for PoE. Of course, a terminal point for earthing has been provided for in order to integrate the universal modular jack into the potential compensation.

FMT products are being produced in Germany at a very high technological level. They have to pass very strict quality tests. For the fulfillment of all performance parameters, FMT grants 15 years warranty for these universal modular components!
